As a response to Jyothsna's post, this video is a perfect example of how motion commercials try to reach out and grab everyone's attention making you feel the advertisement is directed just at you and the particular product is made just for you. In the same commercial, the trainer uses a basketball, calling it 'G-Ball', and promises to reduce fat off of, in my opinion, already decent looking, make up wearing trainees. That too in a matter of 3 days. The first time I came across this video, I thought it was a funny, viral one but it dawned upon me after a complete minute that they were actually serious. The trainer goes by the name of Mitch Gaylord. Well.

I think it's interesting that the Dove Video (example of visual essay) has only young girls in it, because basically the whole consciousness about beauty and body image starts to set in at that age.
ReplyDeleteThe second video is edited quite well, because I had to stop myself at one point from thinking that it might be true!
